a gorgeous full slip! so very vintage..late 40s early 50s, all very silky black nylon in a medium weight, fluid and luxurious..
The straps are wider than usual. black satin ribbon, with metal adjusters.
The lace is just exquisite! it looks like openwork chiffon. all sheer, the lace is actually embroidered with eyelash scallops on both the top and bottom as it trims the neckline, front and back of this beautiful slip. just over an inch wide, it gives the impression of being pleated, but its actually the designs of the lace.
Silky black nylon creates the slip, but the hemline is just as fabulous. a row of the zig zag eyelash lace trims the hem, but just above it is an overlayer of Six inches of lace.. it starts with the same eyelash design, then blends into a open work chiffon..
delicate and so lovely! truly a rare and unique find! and just too pretty to hide, the denier is heavy enough this could easily be worn as a dress and will surely bring tons and tons of compliments
